Well, lonely is always associated with alone too. Maybe you can’t be lost if you are not alone, because even if you don’t know where to go, you always have each other. You already found someone, which is an opposite of lost.
You can be surrounded by people and still feel alone so there goes that theory. People think you have to be alone in order to be lost. That’s so untrue you can be lost with a stadium of people.
Lost is more confusion, than lonely in my opinion. Yet people will paint lost as one person standing in the woods or in the street alone.
